Balanced Worlds is looking for an awesome Texture Artist to add life to its latest AAA game with lush colors and textures. Work with the Art Director to visually communicate the Creative Directors ultimate vision, and push the art quality to its limits.
Unwrap UVs and produce stylized hand-painted textures
Produce and assign proper shaders
Must speak English and Chinese Mandarin
At least 1 year experience as a Texture artist
Must possess a firm understanding of scene lighting, shader development, and visual effects
Advanced user in Photoshop and Illustrator
Strong understanding of design principals, layout and composition, and color theory
Basic modeling skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Proactively seek art direction and cooperation with other team members
A love for playing videogames and good instincts for game design
Experience developing art assets for video games
Present a variety of 3D works including unwrapped UVs and hand-painted textures
Demonstrate a strong knowledge in lighting and shaders (normal maps and specular maps)
