“Share One Planet” Wild Animals CG Art Elites Invitational Competition
“Share One Planet” Wild Animals CG Art Elites Invitational Competition is organized by Wild Animals Cultural Project Fund, China Foundation for the Development of Social Culture, China Institute of Strategy and Management (CISM), the International Association of Computer Graphics Artists (IACGA), China Association for Global Development under the United Nations and co-organized by leewiART International Computer Graphic (CG) Art Promoting Organization and Beijing Imperial Court Development Company Ltd. CG elite artists from all over the world will participate in and promote CG art and appeal for protecting wildlife. The theme of the art gathering Share One Planet reflects our artistic ideology as well as our attitude towards wildlife.
As industrialization and urbanization deepens, environment issues loom large. Over the past century, the extinction rate of species was 100 times faster than the natural rate. Each day has witnessed more than 100 species die away and a growing number of wild animals losing their territories. The topic of Share One Planet then becomes highly relevant. Through this art gathering, we hope the general public pays more attention to wildlife protection.
“Share One Planet” Wild Animals CG Art Elites Invitational Competition is the first global competition of “Share One Planet” series. The competition will invite CG masters worldwide to take part in. Winners will be awarded with prize money as well as special designed golden, silver and copper trophies. Winning entries of the competition will be first exhibited in China and then toured internationally. The Organizers hope the platform of “Share One Planet” can be built for encouraging artists to create meaningful and inspiring CG works to our times, for promoting great CG artists and for raising attention to wild animals even global environment protection by employing the power of art.

Marriage between CG Art and Commonweal
This competition incorporates wildlife protection to CG first time in history. It is a great try with significance in these aspects:
First, the art market is a niche market with a limited number of audiences. When artists combine art with public benefit activities, they will have more audiences.
Second, usually, CG creation has featured artist’s fantastic thinking and spirituality. But this theme of Share one planet has introduced CG art to the general public. In this way, the artwork will become more valuable because they have positively impact the real world.
Third, GC’s marriage with public activities will spread green ideals of ecological protection and improving environment.
It becomes a trend that art campaign is integrated with public activities as demonstrated by Children’s Cancer & Blood Foundation (CCBF) Second Annual Contemporary Art Auction. The auction funds clinical care, fosters research to help understand the causes of childhood cancers and blood disorders, and sponsors fellowship training of pediatricians in the subspecialty of pediatric hematology and oncology, and that has been applauded by the general public as well as the art community. From previous events, this organization has full confidence in the cooperation between art and public activities. This competition incorporates CG art to environment protection and will impress the public in a profound way. In future, this organization hopes to launch more campaigns incorporating CG art to environment issues and charity. And therefore, CG art will become more audience-friendly and benefit society in an immediate approach.
Since the beginning of this invitation competition, we have received positive feedback from both the CG community and the public. CG artists feel inspired, their enthusiasm and creativity skyrocketed.
