How do I...
By jpasheboro on Nov 19, 2001 12:59 PM
What is the best way to texture my models, and what programs are best to do it with? Nendo is my primary modeling program.

Hope these don't sound like clueless questions(though, actually, I am :))But if you don't ask questions, you'll never learn anything.

Thanks all.

Well, I personally like Max's way of texturing. You apply a UVW Map to it, then open the Unwrap utility to 'unwrap' (duh) the faces of your model. Then you can print-screen and paste it into Photoshop or use Texporter (even better, because you can have it color faces depending on their normals), then paint it over in Photoshop.
Then, from what you've painted, you make a specular map and a bump map, with the handy dandy layers, eraser, smudge and clone brushes. Woohoo!

But that's just me.
