i realy need to know how does this work. does someone has any idea. i am using 3ds max

Apply a UVW mapping modifier to your object or mapping IDs and then UVW Unwrap your object or mapping IDs. Move around your vertices in Unwrap will you think it looks right, then use print screen and paste it in Photoshop.

i hope someone will read this because i have another problem. i did what koztah said, but it doesen't work if the mesh is too detailed. this is because of the big vertex dots. is there a way to get rid of them?

Well, you can export the UNwrap with a plugin called texporter, it'll export a bitmap for you to draw on, with onbly edges shown
