i need your help in character modeling

i'm a small 3d artist ..i don't call myself that after i discovered that i suck in character modeling i need anyone's help ..i have this character Taz (from the loony toons) to do but i don't know from where or how to start ..it's really important to me so if anyone can help me or show me a tutorial(i work on 3ds max 4) i'll be gratefull thanx in advance

You kinda need to elaborate a little more. What prog are you using? What is your final output? What do you want to do with your char when done?
It's a little hard to point you in the right direction without more info.
