Urgent Help Please!

Hello everyone, im new here and I am having a problem with maya. I am animating a sequence of events like the breakfast machine. In my video, I have a bucket falling down and striking a cigarette lighter. What I need to know is, how to I make it so the flame activates when I want it to on the specific frame. If there is a way I can set it to a frame or activate it when the bucket hits the lighter that would be best.

Any help is appreciated.

I was having the same problem with trying to get some fireworks activated at a speciffic frame. I would also like to know how to do this.
