Texturing in truespace
By on Nov 16, 2000 07:39 PM
I'm forced to work with truespace in school and I need some help with texturing. I made this kickass space marine terminator (Warhammer 40k for anyone that cares) and it doesn't look as good as it could because everything's just painted with flat colors. I've done texture maps in max and they've come out ok, but as far as I can tell, truespace has no UVW mapping feature. Can someone point me to a plugin or tutorial or something dealing with texture mapping in truespace?  I need some way to make a chrome-like gold texture also.
Thanks.

Hi there.  I love Warhammer 40,000 especially the artwork.  Id love to see your terminator.  Ive been wanting to model and animate W.H. 40K type stuff for ages, just not had the time.

Which version of truespace are you using.  I just graduated from Truespace and started learning max (what a difference Ill tell you)  Although the Truespace 5 package looked appealing.  There is a UVW map function and you can UV map planar Spherical Cubical a cylindrical.  you can rotate the "gizmo" to use Max terms and everything.  I think Truespace 5 offers multiple layers on textures too for great bumpmapping.
