Glass Texturing

Hi, All!
Help me, if you can it...
Need make real lamp (bulb).
How make texture for lamp glass? (in LW6)
Great problem is making reflection.
First part: A glass reflect bright objects good, and not bright objects very poor.
Second part: Form lamp is cause a lot of reflections a object. And different reflection have different level.

Glass shouldn't have a texture at all, just a proper amount of transparency. If you look closely at a piece of glass, all you see is reflections and maybe refraction (the glass warps the view of the objects behind it). If it's a clear glass bulb you need, it should be close to 100% transparent, if it's "matte" or "frosted", give it less transparency, and set a simple white material color, and maybe some slight bump-mapping.

Most glass is slightly decolorised. Use about 70-99% transperency. Add a bit of color(most likely brown). For reflect/refract use 50%, 50% with raytrace or reflect/refract maps. For flat glass it is offen hard to see. you need to get the camera in the right place and light or something to reflect.

How make reflection on sphere of glass from light was not circle?

P.S. Maybe it's question from Lighting forum?

I think need some coments. If I use point light (in LW) then in glass shpere specular is circle. But if I use line light reflection is circle too...
Maybe is it not changed?

I was having this same problem until today. I thought that was the issue, then I found this post - sure enough it works now.
