How do I make cloth??

Iv'e been having trouble trying to turn something into cloth. Iv'e seen tutorial videos on how to do it (its called cloth fx or something) but its seems the thing I need just aint there. Would this be a plugin or something?

Cloth FX is a plugin for Max, but the latest release of Max (version 7.5) now includes cloth tools and 'garment maker'.

However, if you dont have 7.5 or the cloth FX plugin, try looking at Reactor within Max, as this will also allow you to simulate cloth (along with Rigid bodies, Soft bodies etc)

I have previously tried to use the reactor cloth only it is a tad bit hard to use. Is there any dree plugins that I could download and that would make things a bit easier?.
