NOOB ALERT!!! hehe

but like any good poster, i actually used the search button to see if it has been asked and it has not.

I saw a video in Lightwave 7 it was a text effect where they basically made a black barckground and cut the text out. then the had a spot light rise up so u saw the rays emit from the text letter for like 2 seconds as the spotlight panned up...I am VERY new to lightwave and my prob is this. I have "create" selected...but the "text" box is ghosted....i click it and it tells me fonts did not load. I cant do ANY text. /is this a fluke or something common...a glitch from NewTek perhaps?

Hi,
befor you can create a text, you have to add a font (Modeler->Options->Edit Font List).
you can choose between Truetype Fonts and the Post Script Fonts.
