Spine for biomedical research

Hi all,

We are developing a 7-vertebrae spine and skull to use in biomedical research. Functionally, it must be linked so that when we bend the skull forward as in a flexion moment, the attached spinal segments will subsequently also flex sequentially, with the upper vertebra flexing first, followed by the second, and so on. The head and spine must also move rearward into extension.

It is also necessary to be able to simulate trauma from below, so that an upward motion or flexing of the lower segments will likewise move the upper segments in a similar cascading manner.

We have very little experience with linking methodologies and hope someone can give us some specific guidance.
