Build a polygonmesh ?? Help please..

hi together,

did anyone knows how to build a polymesh from a point cloud?

We have a pointcloud (scanned from a Cyrax 2500 Laserscanner).
the outputformats from the scanner are *.coe, *.dxf, *.pts, *.ptx, *.svy and *.xyz

What is the best (and simple...?) way to convert this pointcloud into a polygon or nurbs object?

any help, tip or suggestion is welcome.
