Modeling newb
By GeriatricGowk on Feb 02, 2002 08:23 AM
howdy, i can pretty much navigate my way around 3ds max 4 and have done a million newb tutorials. I've heard of different styles of modelling, (nurbs, subd, mesh) could anyone please explain to me the differences in each and some advantages/disadvantages of each. I'd like to do whichever one is the easiest (and by easiest i dont mean fastest). Or just a link to where i can find out more would be nice. I started a head from scratch earlier and made it with nurms, then converted it to mesh and then everything got confusing and i kinda gave up (i converted to mesh because my nurms weren't fitting together right i thought it would be easier to edit with mesh. (link to picture fo my old man head: http://peanucle.tripod.com/face.html ) any help is very much appreciated, thanks.
