modeling a figther airplane

I use box/poly/mesh modeling for this baby.  Any suggestions?

Also a really weird bug occured to me while playing around this model.  If I choose the ship model and switch to edge mode in mesh editing, the program quits immediately (100 % reproducable).  This is really bugging me...  Anyone care to download the max file and try it?
