how do i link bones? lightwave 3d

hi it's me again, well i have finished making a mech. i have replied in my previuos message on how to bone mechenical objects.

U guys say to link the bones.. how do i link the bones...

so far what i have done is split my mech up to its parts ect. hands legs

i started boning the torso(i drew a bone) now how do i link this bone to my acuter(lower torso)?
