darken your shadows...typicaly...when you have only one direct light source...the shadows should be the same value as the ambient....such as a sun rise or sun set.....there is not alot of reflected light....

in fact...i would kill that back light you have....think...where is it coming from??

yes...very bright....a moon is hardly casting at dawn.
