what kind of lighting, lighting is a really difficult subject to cover in a tutorial fashion uless it is for a certain effect.  What are you tying to figure out and such?  I would be happy to answer anyquestions, and will post a lighting tutorial if I can think of one.  Are you looking for tutorials on how to use lights in C4D or specifically on how to light scenes?

I you want some sample files for XL 7 or higher, email me at Kai@lucentdreams.zzn.com and I could send you some I made today of various lighting methods, more aimed at different techniques for GI or more realistic lighting methods.  Files are english as well.

It's not hard.  Just use an omni or spot light and enable visibility in the light's General tab.  Then you can play with the parameters in the Visibility tab.
