Animation Techniques
By Riccard on Jan 24, 2001 09:47 AM
What I would like to see is a Forum where we could discuss 3D Animation. Bones Lattices etc.
3D graphics is one section. But many of us forget the really hard part in 3D - make them move with a feeling of life. And half of todays programs consists of these controllers. So please start one of these. I have an little suggestion about moving the guy in Z-led even if I do a In-Place walkcycle. I think it looks far better than if just letting the arms and body would move. But I havn't seen anyone do this? Except me then!. Have you tried it? Re: Animation Techniques

Yeah! There's modelling, texturing and lighting but no animation! To be honest I never noticed it was missing. I would find really helpful to be able to pick some of the residents brains here.

Yeah I just noticed as well that there is no animation technique forum, and came here to see if I was the only one who caught it. It seems like animation is a broad and important enough subject that we could benefit from experience across all platforms.
(Not to say that this isn't already the best 3D Forum around) ;) Re: Animation Techniques
