I used to use it, it's a great beginner app. But after using 3DS MAX I've never looked back...

Rhino's good though, I havn't got massive experience with other apps but Rhino does nurbs far better than MAX 4. Now that the Flamingo renderer is available, the only thing missing from Rhino is animation. Plus Rhino can export to nearly any program, so it's quite handy for things that take too long in other programs.;)

Oh and Rhino NEVER crashed on me EVER, where as MAX I expect at least four crashes while texturing...

I downloaded the Rhino demo and it looks like it'll be good once I learn it, but I'm having trouble. I'm totally new at 3D, so we'll see...

Actually Rhino is very powerful modeling program. I have used 3DS Max for few years, but nowadays I do all my techinical models with Rhino. It is A LOT better for modeling industrial products than most of 3D modeling/animation programs.

Still, I use Max for other type of modeling.

Rhino has flexibility and is found useful.
Although some kinds of software is used, Rhino is very convenient
when it is surely hard to make from a polygon.;)

Beginner app my a***, it's a hell of a lot easier to use than max (granted it can't do some of the things max can, animation etc). But it can also do a lot max cant from a NURBS perspective, and if your interest is pure modelling for the price you cant buy better than this app. Also depends what type of modelling you do, were not all into modelling fantasy etc, some of us are into ind. design and for this max just cut it, hasnt got the accuracy etc.

maan... I've got a full version of Rhino 3.0 but as I moved I lost the fecking CD case and bought a new computer as well... so now I dont have the bloody CD key, so cant use it....

I'm also using Vue D'espirit, but it keeps bollocking me all the time, crashes for some weird reason.

And I like some old school programs like TerraGen :)

And of course I got 3d Studio max 5 ;)

but I really miss my Rhino 3.0 :(

I also use Rhino mainly for product design modelling.

Rhino being an accurate NURBS modeller is very suitable for computer aided industrial design.
