Hi,
What is the real use of VertexPaint modifier ?
I mean what is the Idea behind this modifier ?

Is this modifier for game designers ?

You got me too!

The best explaination I could come up with is,
when you are in the sub object mode,
You can differentiate what verticies are what.

because having them all the same color can be confusing.

That's my best guess. If I'm wrong, I probably am, maybe someone else can help us all out.

yeah its used mainly for game designers.  I think its used to fake lighting and/or texturing.  Something like that anyway.

I was just surfing this site trying to find newbie posts that might have some good tutorials when I came across this, so I don't know if it will even be seen or not, but vertex shading is for game designers.
A lot of times, lights aren't that great, and vertex shading can be substituted for shadows and stuff.  I think that games like Spyro the dragon has vertex shading.  It really makes a nice effect.  I like to vertex shade my games(though I never finish them ;) )
