How to make an arrow "flow" around a corner

Hi everybody,

Does anyone know how to make an arrow animation in which the arrow isn't a massive body moving along a path but instead following the path (sort of like a worm)? Thnx already  :-/

Try making an IK system for your arrow and animate that along your path.

much like a snake would be animated.

isnt there a command to do just that...to morph the geometry along the path curve so that it aproximates the shape of the curve...im sure there is but i cant remember what the hell it is

Look up the Path Deform modifier.

Thanx everybody for reacting, I made an IK system for the arrow an it works just fine.  :)

I did something by accident today which might help you:

Make your arrow
Make a path
select the arrow
Modify / PathDeform
And start tweeking the nobs.

You can do really cool things with it.
Make syre that your arrow has enough segments so that i flows smoothly.

Wow! I just checked out the Pathdeform modifier and it is indeed a lot faster then setting up an IK sys. tnx bkirch & giraffe :-))) it looks nice n snappy now, heheh
