Hi there, does anybody know how I can make an object light up (and light other objects, unlike selfill) in 3Dstudio? My goal is making something like a tubelight. Thnx already, Bas

the only way i can think of is to place a bunch of Omnis at regular intervals along your model.

thnx Koztah, the file gets very heavy very soon with so many light sources but since it's the only way it'll have to do. ;D

Why you don't want to use Cebas's plug-in ProOpticSuite? It allows you to have as many virtual light sources distributed on surfaces as you like. They emulate just that luminescent surface you asked of.

i read once about putting some flat plans that would reflect the lights to the objects to give indirect lighting on it , they can become illuminonce ones , what parameters should i use in their materials to do so????
