Ray Of Light

Hi Everybody.
Um... How can I generate an effect like on
this picture:

Theres the Ray Of Light effect from photoshop.
Um.. I tried volume light but it doesnt look
quite real.
I mean I've only seen a blank white screen
without any rays ;(

Anybody has an idea?

Under Video Post. I believe there's an effect called 'ray' or somesuch.

Oh, and the reason you only get white is because yoy have to turn on Cast Shadows and have something to block the light with, like text. Or fruit.

Hm...
It worked but my prog doesnt cast any shadows
if I put an object in front of the spot light.

save yourself the trouble and do it in post...an ae plug called shine is that effect exactly. 79$
