What it's for: 3D Studio Max R3
What it Does: Converts Scenes to Java 3D objects.
Why do I what it: To make a webpage. Walkthrough
Where to find it: I don't know. That's why I'm asking

There's a lot of way to show 3D in a web browser.
I experience java3d (you can find 3ds file parser on java.sun.com) but the rendering isn't very good.
You should try cosmo sofware VRML player

Or in java IDX3D (i don't remember the URL)

Thanks. I don't want to use VRML not many people have the Plugins. I want to use Java to put into Class Applets more people can view that. I'm not to worried about the quality yet.

You can try it with a macromedia flash plugin for Max.
It exports your movie to *.swf

Cult3D is a good choice. ;D

The is a good file type changer called 3d exploration, by X-dimension software. It can read many file types, but i dont think that it can read java3d files. Hope that it can be helpful.

My suggestion is Cult3D.
The plugin for max is free.And you can use java to cortorl it.
