Link  a single vertex to an object?
By MJ on Jun 11, 2001 04:09 AM
Is it possible within Max, instead of linking a total object, pick a single vertex and link it to an animated object? If it is possible and you know how, please let me know. Thanx in advance.

Why would you want to do that? Please describe your intentions a little bit more. Are you trying to get a streched or a warped look? Elaborate.

First of all, thanks for the re's. I tried the linkXform, but that only works for the object, not for sub-objects.

I have to animate different monitors, and would like to animate the power chords as well. Figured it would be easy if I used renderable splines, with the last vertex in line linked to the animated monitor. Then I would only have to animate the monitor and Flex assigned to the renderable line should do the trick. I hope this gives you a better idea of my problem.
