shockwave export with xsi

I would like to know if anyone had some experience with that exporter...and director 8.5...when a w3d file is imported in director is there a way that I can know which object carries which number in director...
for example if i have 3 spheres in a scene and export to dotXSI then to .w3d after I import it in director and try to apply a lingo feature to rotate second sphere is there a way that I can know what "model number" will director assign to that sphere...?
like in a line :
member("newscene").model(?).rotate(0,5,0)
