Jacob Hespeler faceoff will be a battle

The Resurrection Phoenix and Jacob Hespeler Hawks are as prepared as they're going to be for Thursday night's championship game at University Stadium. It's the first meeting of the season for the only undefeated teams they are both 7 0 and one Dwyane Wade Mens Jersey that many observers have been expecting to see since mid September.

The Hawks are still searching for their first WCSSAA championship; while the Phoenix won back to back titles in 2008 and 2009.

Third year Phoenix head coach Kyle Armour expects a battle, as neither team has been tested this fall like it will be under the lights on a chilly November evening.

"It's definitely going to be the toughest test we've faced. They've kind of got it all, they've got a fifth year quarterback (James Roberts) and they're a well coached team with a high powered offence. There are a lot of guys we have to key on and they have a good defence as well."

Hawks head coach Greg White, who has been in charge of his school's senior team since 1996, is quick to return the praise.

"I had the chance to see them play last week and they come as advertised, they're fast, they're physical and they're athletic," he said.

"We didn't look good at all last week in the semifinals and they looked every bit as good as we have been hearing."

The Hawks advanced to the final with a 17 7 win over the Elmira Lancers and the Phoenix moved on with a 51 21 win over SJAM. Chris Bosh Womens Jersey

This is the third straight year the Hawks have reached the final, losing to the Highlanders on both occasions.

Still, the big game experience is something that should be an advantage to the Cambridge squad that is loaded with fifth year players.

Jacob Hespeler's offence is in good hands with Roberts, whose favourite Chris Bosh Navy Jersey receivers this year have been Simon Beeksma, Keiran Burnham and Carlton Smith. Kevin Pham is the Hawks' top running back.

The defence is also strong but will need to control Resurrection's option attack if the Hawks are to have a chance.

"If they start off running the option and continue to run the option, then we are probably going to lose because that will mean they are running it well," said White.

Quarterback Paul Henning leads the Resurrection offence but the versatile Jaedon Herron is ready to take over at a moment's notice.

Receiver Marcus Joseph and running back Dominik www.officialbasketballstore.com/dwyane-wade-jersey Valancic both have big play potential on offence. The strong Rez defence is led by linemen Andrew Pickett and Justin Wilson, as well as hard hitting linebacker Che Edwin.

"Defensively, we definitely have our hands full because you can't just look at one guy on their offence you have to shut down. There are a lot of great athletes on that team," said Armour.

One thing the coaches agree on is that excitement levels are high and motivation won't be a factor.

"They've worked hard to get to this point and we know we're facing a well coached team. Whitey and Hatter (assistant coach Mark Hatt) both know what they're doing, so we'll definitely have to be on our toes," said Armour.
