Hello, everyone!
I've got a question about promised 3dsmax4 VP rendering features, exactly: bump, reflection and refraction maps. I don't know how to display them, tried everything, but only transparency is displayed. I dont really need them, except bumpmap, but i want just look at this! I saw a video from discreet. They promised! Maybe i didn't understand something? Thanx. P.S: MAX 4 rulez, much better than 3rd. Can't find any part where it would be worse. your video card has to fully support dx8 functions, ie: nvida geforce 2 or higher.

Well I have a 1st geforce, and I think it support DX8 functions (i saw a technodemos with bump/cubic and spherical environment reflection/refraction etc.). DX8 is installed. Everything must work. Am i right?

only a geforce 2 or higher will fully hardware accelerate dx8
