I have a faking radiosity tutorial but not sure whether it 's correct or not (written from my experience) Please check it out and have some comments for me

If you're talking bout that 'scene with no light'...that's vertex paint..boring and somewhat useless..

I have 2 sample files on cg page. One is faking radiosty sample file and another is what you mentioned, Vertex paint.

Problem with vertex paint is that you need a LOT of vertices to make the shadows and lighting look good even on flat surfaces, and you can't really animate it...well, you can try but...
