Footballer's appearance as caddie at Lytham

The Manchester City striker made headlines on Sunday when he carried the bag for his fellow Argentine Andres Romero at Royal Lytham.
Tevez, a 13-handicapper, admitted he could not offer his professional TaylorMade RocketBallz Fairway Wood any advice during the round and the decision did not benefit Romero who ended up posting a final round of 82 to finish dead last of those players who made the halfway cut.
The move has drawn strong criticism from Royal and Ancient committee chairman Jim McArthur who hinted his organisation could investigate the issue.
"He never put the bag down, even when he was standing on the green - it's just absolute madness," McArthur was quoted as saying by several newspapers.

"I think we need to to look at this TaylorMade RocketBallZ RBZ Combo Set. We normally get a list of caddies at the start of the week."

However, R&A chief executive Peter Dawson took a less dim view of the incident and claimed it could even help bring news fans to the sport.
"It was pretty interesting," he stated. "I thought, because of the big crowd following the group, that golf fans and football fans may overlap a little more than I had realised.

"It's not a bad thing, perhaps."
