In the new year, TaylorMade has put a series of new golf clubs. After unveiling, they cause great huge of buzz. TaylorMade RocketBladez Irons are among within them. Equipped with a new Speed Pocket that promotes increased ball speed and distance, the TaylorMade RocketBladez Irons have the explosive distance and terrific control that players of all levels desire.
The RocketBladez is an improvement model of TaylorMade RBZ Irons. TaylorMade officials say the Speed Pocket is filled with specially formulated polyurethane developed by 3M that quiets vibration without significantly slowing or inhibiting the flex of the feature as it also keeps debris out.
In the design of RocketBladez Irons, TaylorMade take considertaion that 68 percent of iron shots by amateur golfers were mishits below the center of the face, which is where the RocketBladez Irons help golfers the most. From a tester: "I noticed the lower center of gravity quickly as well-hit 5-irons were launching like a 6-iron. I also took notice of the irons' forgiveness. Even on bad swings, the ball launched and flew well. The technology and design behind the irons seem to make it easy to hit a ball well."
RocketBladez’s face thickness, Center of Gravity location and the Speed Pocket help enlarge the effective sweet spot, which makes for more consistent shotmaking – and therefore more consistent distance gaps throughout the set. Adding up to 10 COR points to the face compared to Burner 2.0 Irons. RocketBladez was designed to significantly increase ball speed and distance on those low-face mishits.
In addition, TaylorMade engineers say they found a way to fine-tune the Center of Gravity in the RocketBladez to a low and “absolutely centered” location on the face by redistributing weight it took from the top of the golf online, as well as the hosel (which was shortened), to strategic areas within the clubhead.
