I have used some of Jims 'art' for years now and considering the time it was done the work was amazing, there was NOTHING on the web like it at the time, if you look at the Mona Lisa from one point of view its just a portrait but when viewed another way its art. The test is time and I believe that Jims work has pasted that test. For those who knock his work I have one question, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE,
go away,
take it easy, man. Jim made these in 1997 with crappy software. For their time, they were the best there was.
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, realy, coooooooooool
they are amazing, better than i could ever do. plus making star wars stuff makes me help anyone. i'm a big fan of Star Wars. Good job, the only thing i will critique is emperor leaves coruscant. the bottom wings are shaped like an "L" not straight, plus they fold down at a 45 degree angle. Other than that, very good.
for you other "Critiquers" out there, this was done on a 32 mb RAM computer back in the late '90s. unfortunately none of you have watched Star Wars.
It's amazing how some people slag people's work without taking in consideriation how long ago these picutures were created. Some of Jim's work date back to 1998,
As Ghost_Dog says, the software & hardware Jim was working and what he produced back then was nothing short of fantastic.
Shame his homepage no longer works.
Painful stuff to look at. When sci-fi art flops, it flops bigtime. And these are big flops.
Escape from Hoth- Remix is nothing more than the product of a few clicks in the primatives toolbox in the 3D art package. Pitiful effort.
Imperial Pursuit is a grand name for a ridiculously bad piece of 3D
Emperor Leaves Coruscant - not soon enough! Hope we never see that one again
Patrol II - A Lego elephant? Get a grip "Captain" Jim.
