Well this is the beauty of the internet, stuff I did in 1993-94 can show up on in 2008. Raph.com in it's original incarnation didn't have a feedback section so I guess it never occurred to me that it was still around until someone pointed it out.

Back then I was just trying to break into the games industry and heck I don't think there was even the web as we know it. These pics were just done for fun using 3ds Max v2.0 (DOS) and definitely aren't holding up all that great. But I really appreciate all the great commentary and that people took the time to post.

The family room is actually a recreation of a room in my parents house... I was trying to get an architectural rendering gig which at the time was a way for 3D artists to earn actual cash so this was a demo piece.

Medieval inn I did for a guy who was building an MMO at the time. He spent 5 years and beta then it folded hehe.

The zounds spacecraft looks weird definitely I think I was tiring of seeing all the ships that were being built of of cylinders and discs, was trying something organic. The UV stuff didn't map well back then we didn't have unwrap or all the cool shiz in play today. There was a lot of animation done with these models I have no idea where it is today.

Cheers and best regards,

uh people who critique should look at soft and hardware used and try to guess how long ago these images were made.

I doubt the artist even looks at these critiques anymore

A tip for ralp- Critiques should freeze after 1 year, or when artist stops answering (auto reply) from critiques they get email.

Just a thought, Cheers
