I think Crion Guard looks fantastic.....as opposed to Al, I think creating your own muscular form for the creature is very original. I would think that using a human's or animal's muscular structure would lessen it's appeal as an alien. Great work!
On "Lord Angus"
DUDE! You need help. Anyone, artists included, who imagines this type of thing as a subject of art needs a lot of money, a lot of time, and the phone number of a very expensive psychiatrist.
to much in the Bump channel on both, work on your textures. Good start.
Satch
i think that it does not look 3d at all, and if it does, it looks deformed. The shapes and figures have too many strange angles. Especially on lord angus, is he supposed to be human because he really looks too angular.
I wouldn't like to meet these two in the dark. You did a great job. Keep on going, I'd say.
What can i say some handsome words! You picture is so excellent! But people is so cool,so i say that is not warm. But you design is good.My english is common.
Agree with Henrik regarding Crion guard..well done texturing and overall body structure, however although alien species follow no rules regarding construction, it would be more believeable had the musculature been more of an exaggeration of human or animal origin. for example, the hand and thumb, which, from both mechanical and anatomical standpoints is not working as a hand. i'm sorry if it sounds like i'm bashing your artwork...i hope my input can help you. as far as L. agnus, if it IS an alien, the bump map works...just needs an added diffuse map with some good color alien skin to differentiate it from human. eye piece and mask look great!
