Artist Interview
An interview of this artist is available:
Actually, I almost never got to do 3D at all. I originally saw myself taking Creative Advertising in College, since I thought that was the field where I could best apply my love for drawing. Back then, 3D animation was not quite as big as it is today. After going through different courses the college offered, I came across a 3D animation course. It ended up becoming a draw between that or Creative Advertising, but I eventually chose the former rather than the latter. To this very day, I still thank my lucky stars that I chose what I chose because I have heard from a few friends in advertising that it is in a slump right now. [read more]

Great work on War of Worlds.... looking forward to Pirates 2.... more power!
paturo!!!
email mo ako.....
Congratulations on your work in War of Worlds. I really liked the movie - super exciting and very realistic. What movie are you working on right now?
I had a feeling it's you who modeled the Tripod machine --- nobody else but a Pinoy, of course! Congratulations.... you really are fantastic!
WOW! That is so AWESOME! Spielberg and ILM must really be proud of you! Saludo ako sa 'yo, dude!
since the film is in the midst of being shown, i guess i can be quite open about what i did for the movie: i modeled the tripod war machine, the basement probe, and other nasty alien accesories of the invaders. i can't wait to see all that in the big screen when i watch "war" tomorrow!
Do tell us what you did for War of Worlds - I guess you can't mention it at the Inquirer article because of confidentiality reasons... but I'm really really curious to find out, so maybe once the movie's out.....
We really appreciate your message. All the best! I really like Logan's claws, dude! - doesn't matter wherever it comes out from!
Geesh, i am one helluva lucky guy to be able to do the work that i enjoy immensly, and then on top of that, have you guys offer such kind words because of it! I, of course,
am proud to be a Filipino, so the stuff i've been reading here truly brings a huge
gigantic smile on my face.
And oh yeah, that Logan is based on Travis Chaerest's popular rendition of Wolverine
in the "Wildcats vs Xmen" issue Image Comics put out several years ago..........................................................................dude! :)
