Artist Interview

Actually, I almost never got to do 3D at all. I originally saw myself taking Creative Advertising in College, since I thought that was the field where I could best apply my love for drawing. Back then, 3D animation was not quite as big as it is today. After going through different courses the college offered, I came across a 3D animation course. It ended up becoming a draw between that or Creative Advertising, but I eventually chose the former rather than the latter. To this very day, I still thank my lucky stars that I chose what I chose because I have heard from a few friends in advertising that it is in a slump right now. [read more]

Wow... Pirates 2: 3 straight weeks top-grossing movie! You sure are lucky to be part of this blockbuster! You and the other ILM guys sure did a spectacular visual effects job which deserves an Academy award. Congrats! Looking forward to Pirates 3, which I'm sure is another blockbuster.
Congratulations on your work in Pirates: Dead Man's Chest. I really enjoyed the movie together with my 2 sons who had fun watching the movie too. Again, congrats!
P.S. By the way, if you're watching Pirates 2, make sure you stay until the very end of the movie's credits. You will see an "additional" scene that is really cute and funny (just like what they did on Pirates 1)!!!
Many thanks to those of you who follow and appreciate my nephew's career! In Pirates 2, he digitally did a lot of "little" things contributing to the success of the movie. He also primarily worked on the pirate with a shark head (like a hammer head) and the pirate stuck on the wall for centuries and then suddenly came alive (way cool!). His next movies will definitely be BIG ones! So keep watching!!! Thanks again.
Congratulations on the super success of Pirates 2. Wow... biggest open in Hollywood history! I've been following your success with all the movies you're involved with, and to note: 2002 - EP2 Attack of Clones, 2003 - Pirates 1 & Matrix, 2004 - Van Helsing, 2005 - EP3 Revenge of Sith & War of Worlds, and now 2006 - Pirates 2. You sure are flying high! Keep up the good work and more power to your future blockbuster movies. I'm sure you'll be part of Pirates 3 next year.
I'm looking forward to watching Pirates 2 this Friday, which I'm sure is as "fun" as the 1st. Can you let us know what you modeled in this movie? By the way, what movie are you working on now? Wow... you have blockbuster movies every year!
