U need to get rid of the lame Photoshop Lens Flare at the top.... I feel it ruins the picture. The Figure is an A!!
Really Alien Looking

Well, i must agree on the "still life comments". I also think doing just realistic scenes is somewhat like practicing. But i still don´t quite like the alien. It seems a little stereotyped to me. I´m sure you certainly could achieve greater feeling with a more original alien. Let your imagination roam free, your technique is already great. I must also agree with the annonymous comment on the colors.

I agree fully with James.(having to have to do still lives just about my whole highschool art career almost killed my artistic ambition, not to mention my creativity and my imagination.) CG is a wonderfull medium for the expression of the pictures you usually only see in your head. Keep up the good work.

the work itself is good but i feel the alone feeling you were trying to achieve is lost i dont feel he is alone the colors suggest something else maybe stuck in a time warp or something i dont know try some darker colors make him feel alone dont just say he is other than that cool

Ken, I have to disagree with Ken's critique in your defense. This is the first time i have ever critiqued any work on line but felt i should in this case. While Ken feels that the alien is "little more than a new age cartoon." and that "use it more realistically", I feel that the oppisite is more "constructive" in that, making a realistic piece would be equal in my eyes as doing still life practice in art class 101. ART is in the creative realm and any kind of realistic/non-realistic rendering is moving art forward, not stagnent. I hope that made sence. Chris, again, very nice piece! Keep pushin the bounds.

Personaly I think its got a great "feel" to it. Fine so the "theme" may be used alot but who really cares. Great work.
